Yet again the Community Cup shows us the best of Melbourne. Where else would 10000 people show up to see two teams play ordinary football and watch great bands to the biggest moon of the year?
The Beasts of Bourbon show yet again why they are the Rolling Stones of the southern hemisphere. The crowd is full of northsiders, bitching about having to cross the river for one of the few times of the year. So many families, dogs, streakers and footballs being kicked in the break and after the game. Friends all catch up and people I haven’t seen in ages are there. The site of the huge crowd watching the Beasts play and the moon going up, and footballs being kicked was inspiring.
